Seiche
Seiche captures the moment when motion doesn’t settle, but repeats — not as symmetry, but as resonance. Inspired by oscillating waveforms in enclosed systems, the piece is shaped through the physics of instability: asymmetric, disrupted, and spatially unbalanced.
Its flared crown and compressed base suggest both expansion and compression — like a pressure event frozen mid-cycle. Generated through simulation and sculpted via distortion, Seiche is not decorative but diagnostic: a register of internal stress made into structure.
Printed in granular composite, it holds its form the way water holds a wave — never still, only suspended.
